Pay a visit to the new Waterland Museum the Speeltoren, a spacious and contemporary museum of 400 m², built in 2012 around the medieval Speeltoren.
Starting at ground level, take a leisurely stroll through the five halls that together give a varied image of the culture, nature and heritage in Waterland. See how the landscape of Waterland came about and learn more about the rich history of the pretty towns and have a stimulating encounter with contemporary art. Children can discover for themselves how much fun a museum can be in the Juniorzolder. And stand on top of the enormous playing drum of the carillon in the Speeltoren. Cameras show you all the sections of the tower on a monitor.
